Thats right XD I'm totally vash, he popped out of the anime and lo and behold, it was me XD! Here is another pic of my outfit, I am the model and the credit for the photography goes to Kyle of [link] !
Oh ok I was just wondering if you could tell me if the buttons on your coat are actually snaps, and if so, how wide are they? I'm really looking into installing snaps on my own coat but I'm not sure if it will be ok at 5/8"
No they were really buttons, and it was a pain to stitch down every hole because I dont have one of those fancy machines to do it for you lol... these guys were 3/4 in and we had to go to 3 different Joanns to find enough of them!
I have gone blind! You which most wonderful Vash I saw in the life! At you even also ears stick out))) by the way I thought that absolutely small teenagers are engaged in cosplaying only, and you already such adult guy))) I glad that has found such remarkable photo, I worship to Vash, and now and to you! thank you very much)))
Hello there, I`m doing a Vash costume for someone soon, and I would like to ask, seeing as your costume looks stunning, about some technical details and such, if you would be so kind as to offer me a bit of your time.
If that`s possible, thanks alot~ If not, thanks for doing such a good and inspiring cosplay.
-the type of fabric used, should I pick out a more rigid fabric, or a softer, cotton`ish one?
-did you use refference material for the costume, as in blueprints or such, or did you just look at screenshots and the likes? I mean, I just can`t figure out how the part with the long pointy`ish corners over the actual jacket goes..is it part of it or is it a separate piece? plus the lower part of it is just a pain, because I`ve seen variations where the rear and the front part are separate, and some where it`s all a full coat, and I`d like an accurate-as-can-be jacket, so I`m kinda in the blurr with that.
That`s about all I can think of now, seeing as I don`t have the project properly layed out yet, but if I stumble upon any other hardships, I`ll ask some more, I guess.
I picked a polyester/cotton blend because it was fairly stiff and really the only thing I could find with a color that made my happy when I made the costume. Honestly when I made the costume there was only like a few shots of vash, the first dvd hadn't even been released in america so I used Japanese pictures of him, but now days I collect as many references I can of people I want to cosplay. Yes that whole collar is a seperate piece that I made a paper pattern for until it looked right. Good luck with the costume!
hehe, well Im sure the prices have gone down but the run was purchased from ebay as the offical resign model, it came as a kit I had to put together and paint, but the trigger worked with the hammer for extra realism... but it was $200, offical glasses were also $100 >_< oh what I do for cosplay
I found the glasses for cheap.. theyre custom tooled to look like the official glasses, and are kinda weatherworn for effect, i think ill get them, theyre only about $20... And i looked and looked on ebay and couldnt find the kit D: let alone any gun that even resembled vash's... i would spend the $200... geeze... i know, sick isnt it? what we do for cosplay?
At least my vash coat was cheap.. like $2 at a thrift store.. didnt know what they had XD its gonna need some modification but it'll work... and the arm and boots i still need... at least my friend whos actually wearing it is the spitting image of vash... he even has that mole under his eye in the same spot XD
[link] hes on the right.. XD thers no good pics of him anymore..
