Magic Knights of Rayearth

Well this was the big secret I've been holding from you for the past 5 months, where I worked on my dream costume for Fanime 2009. Since I got into anime over 10 years ago, Clamp has been an inspiration for me not only in my own artwork, but for cosplaying as well. Although I haven't done many outfits from their series, Magic Knight Rayearth was one of my first loves... despite how corny the storyline was.

I'm not really that into mecha unless they incorporate it into a fantasy setting like MKRE or Escaflowne, but the design of the Gatsutai Rayearth always struck me as a costume I would want to do if I ever got that skilled. It was a pleasure to grow with my friends thought 11 years of cosplay, and to finally create something that would mark the near end of my cosplay career. I have had many wonderful memories and made some totally awesome friends, something I wouldnt trade for anything in the world!
